"Ed has been teaching my daughter piano for almost six years. From day one he inspired growth and a musicality in her through his individual lessons and patient approach. She simply took off with Ed and has continued to flourish. Ed is sensitive to each person’s skills and attributes and brings out the best in them. He is a talented and accomplished musician and a gifted teacher. It is a pleasure to know Ed and we are truly lucky to have him as our piano teacher. I have no hesitation in recommending him. Thank you Ed"
Kevin Matthews - Director of PLUK
“I’ve known Ed for years having played gigs with him here and there in Brighton. Ed is an excellent pianist and teacher but he’s also kind, thoughtful and patient. He also has a wonderful teaching space and piano.”
Rob Biss - Director of Sussex Academy
"Ed taught piano and violin at the Sussex Academy of Music (SAM) for nearly three years. In this time he proved to be hugely popular with both students and parents alike, as well as proving to be a true asset to the company.
Ed has taught children and adults from beginner to advanced level primarily on a one-to-one basis at both SAM studios in Shoreham and at various SAM schools throughout Sussex. Overall, Ed is a very accomplished and experience teacher and musician, he is also very reliable, polite and professional - highly recommended!"
Maria - pupil
"Ed Sanderson is a talented musician, pianist and teacher. He has been teaching me to play the piano for over 9 years and has a kind and patient teaching style. Ed pays attention to the technical, emotional and theoretical aspects of music and the pieces that you learn. His attention to detail ensures difficulties and mistakes are corrected quickly whilst never making you feel stupid. Ed has the ability to direct, instruct, motivate and inspire and in so doing has imparted in me a drive and desire to progress. These skills combined with his enthusiasm and energy makes him an excellent teacher. I am privileged to have Ed as my Piano teacher and I cannot recommend him highly enough."
